Hello, I’m Jane; a PR & marketing specialist with a knack for talking too fast and eating too much.
For the past decade I’ve worked for marketing and communications agencies in Cardiff and London for clients like Microsoft and The Welsh Government; in the press office with travel publisher Lonely Planet; and at Cardiff Metropolitan University where I managed the creation of an award-winning student blog. You can check out my full career history on Linked In.
Alongside the day-job, I write a food and lifestyle blog with a sustainable slant, called HungryCityHippy. What started life as an occasional hobby over five years ago still keeps me busy to this day; writing, eating and tweeting my way around Cardiff.
Recently, I decided say goodbye to a steady pay cheque and start working for myself. Though a scary step, it has given me the freedom to do work that I love, with clients that I hand-pick – in many cases, it was the blog that initially brought us together. Now I use my expertise to create content and manage PR and social campaigns for a variety of chefs, restaurants, pop-ups, and food festivals – as well as regularly helping out at some of Cardiff’s most creative communications and media agencies.
If you think I might be able to help you too, drop me a line today.
